First variant is simpler as does not requires any downloading but the second would be more advisable for long time usage. Myspace mob. app makes checking up your myspace account much easier. It simplifies the navigation on the site and allows you to avoid all junk ads the myspace.com is filled with. It makes the whole site viewable even on the small phone screen. From the home page you can see your profile, check the friend request, see the status and the moods of your friends. view the comments left on the page. On the top you get nice tab navigation for easier aces to the new messages, your friend lists and your photos.
Iphone application
Really clean and easy yo use, you get very similar features. The original feature is that list of your friends is separated in some tabs so you can see new friends, best friends and who has birthdays in coming future. We tested also the option to upload a photo direct from you Iphone or Ipad memory directly, this worked fine.

Site drawbacks:

absence of MySpace music player
A lot of people prefer Mysapce to Facebook just because of this huge music collection. Here they have their favorite tracks or even collections but in the mobile version you can forget about it.

absence of Myspace video player
There is no way to search or browse videos with MySpace mobile and you can’t even see the videos on friends profiles. To watch MySpace videos on the mobile site you have to first use the full web version of MySpace to add each video you want to watch to your profile
absence of Myspace chat
All these features helped myspace to hold the turn against facebook and struggle for the leaderships of social networks. Hopefully this features will be added in the future updates.

Summary and verdict:

In general this mobile version is quite comfortable, works fast especially if you use the application and not just a wap version. This mobile version was a great surprise and super modern feature in the year 2006, but nowadays almost all social network provide it. Some of them offer more functionality and what is more important, they offer more users in one network. So that means, that people want to have all their friends in one network and not separately. For some year Myspace said that said that their main strategy to defeat others is to become a hub to discover music, entertainment, and games. But in the mobile version this strategy does not work. My space today has already lost its position on this market. We all know who is the new leader but about him in our next reviews.
But if we are coming back to the myspace mobile app. , if you are already having a myspace account there is no reason not to get the application or not to use the mobile version of the site. And if you don’t have an account mobole version and app . are not going to do anything to commit you to make one.

And it looks that the mobile version is even better than the standard version, it works rather fast has all “serious” features from mayor site and doesn’t have any junk advertisements, banners or other stuff like this. So we advise you to use the mobile version in most cases especially if you have fast fingers.
