It is one of the most popular networks in the USA and in Europe. Nowadays German mobile provider has got more than 109 millions clients, this gives him the 4-rd place in the world. Quite impressive, isn’t it? Still we will take a closer look at their web-page and the services provided.

T-mobile got the idea, that to sell mobile services is not enough. Of course you will find a whole list of tariff plans, prepaid cards, mobile Internet, roaming costs and much more. But this is exactly what we have expected from a mobile provider. Unexpected part is mobile phone section. Yes, it sounds strange but T-mobile sells not only sim-cards for the mobile phones but the mobile phones as well. It’s like if the gasoline station would sell the cars for their gasoline. Beside our irony the shop of mobile phones is quite impressive. T-mobile offers you new models like Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Vibrant, Nokia Astound and Nokia 5230. But one more interesting section is “Refurbished Devices”. Here are presented almost the same models but for much lower price almost 50 % of the normal price. Somebody would say: “But they are not new!” Yes, they are, but you get the new model, with 90 days warranty from T-mobile for extremely low price, so it’s up to you! - Coverage
In this section you get hardly a word about network coverage but you get nice theoretical information what for have you paid 700 dollars buying a new Android phone. So you can find all possible information about benefits of 4G and WI-FI callings. - Support
support section is divided in several parts, because T-mobile sells mobile phones now. So the new users can get help not just for their calls and sms problems but for the mobile phones as well. We know that basically T-mobile.com is made for clients from the USA, but still the information is written only in 2 languages American English and Spanish. - Design
For such a huge company we have expected a little bit more; site seems to be well built, has a nice clear structure but probably magenta is not our favorite color. - Phone shop.
Here you will not find a long list of models. Basically in the shop you see T-mobile branded devices, Blackberries and some others models. Still here is no model from Apple. Nokia is presented by just a few models. For a serious buyer this is definitely not enough. - Business section
By tariffs you get just 4 possible plans and short description. We are sure that business clients expect a little bit more from the web-page. - Network coverage
Network coverage has been a weak point for some time, particularly with regard to data coverage. Nowadays situation is getting better but there are still many drawbacks and negative feedbacks of clients.
Site summary and verdict
Today T-mobile is one of the strongest players on the mobile arena but the concurrence is growing up. In our future reviews we will definitely compare them. T-mobile understood that phone selling might be a very important part of their business. It is logically a client wants to buy everything he need for communication in one place, so to say to buy in “a mobile supermarket”. Looking at the other sites it seems to be a tendency. In this aspect T-mobile has not the best perspectives their branded mobile phones rarely become bestsellers. And brand T-mobile can’t defeat Apple, Nokia or even Samsung. On the other hand probably it is not their target. But the target is to defend their position on the field of mobile services. In this aspect they are doing well. The “war” for leader position on the market is not over and to get these positions first of all T-mobile should work on their homepage.
Our verdict- good option to save money using cheap tariffs and buying refurbished phones, not the best variant for business clients.
